So... here's the deal...
I was staying with my friend Jennifer for like a week, and then I went over to her apartment today to return the keys and get the rest of my stuff......
ok... her apartment is above a dentist office, and the only apartment in that part of the building....
when you walk into the front, theres a door, small hallway with 3 mailboxes, another door, then stairs up to the office and then further up is the apartment.
picture this... the very front door is usually locked, i'm saying usually, not always, and it's the kind of lock that you unlock from the outside, and then walk inside, and re lock it with your key, you must have a key to unlock it from either side.... the middle door is ALWAYS locked, but not the same kind of lock.
When I walked in, the front door was unlocked, and I shimmyed up the stairs packed up my things, wrote a note, and left the key on Jenn's bed. This probably took me about 10 minutes max.
Since the front door had been unlocked when I got there, I didn't imagine that it would be locked when I was leaving, but to my surprise, I was WRONG.
So, I spent 30 minutes of my life TRAPPED in an extremely small hallway between two glass doors. Excuse me, LOCKED glass doors, and no one was home.
I felt like a zoo animal, as the people on the street walked by and stared in at me like I was doing something, but all I was doing was sitting on the floor talking on the phone. Oh well, eventually someone came home and let me out.
Phew.
I don't want to do that again!!!
Also, my mother asked me what I learned from the situation, and I can honestly say, there is NOTHING you can learn from that sort of situation. Thank you
